Dragonfly
The loss of wetland habitats threaten the survival of dragonfly populations in all areas of the world. Dragonflies are fast and agile fliers. They exhibit great prowess in aerial ambush of prey, and have been known to migrate great distances across oceans. Dragonflies are a symbol of courage, strength and happiness and are used in traditional medicine in Japan. They are depicted as sinister creatures in European folklore. There are over 3,000 species of dragonflies, some with brilliant iridescent or metallic colors contrasting with their mostly clear transparent wings. Global Warming Wear is happy to honor this talented flier with our dragonfly textile abstract print.
