Passiflora Leggings
The rainforest is home to a colorful and diverse genus of flowering plant known as Passiflora, or the Passion Flower. The Passion Flower gets its name from its thorn-like structures that are said to resemble the crown of thorns worn by Christ during his crucifixion; those days of suffering often referred to as the Passion of Jesus. The Passion Flower contains chemicals known to have a calming effect, and is used for a variety of medicinal purposes. Even though this flower is diverse, some species, like the Chilean Passion Flower, are endangered due to unsustainable logging and other habitat destruction.
Global Warming Wear's vibrant Passiflora watercolor floral print captures the beauty of this flower, contrasting deep navy with vibrant purple hues.
